Service Employees International Union (SEIU 32BJ), founded in 1977 and headquartered in New York, is a nonprofit organization specializing in Representation, Politics, and Worker’s rights. It is a branch of Service Employees International Union, having 170,000+ members in ten states. 32BJ members include office cleaners, doormen, maintenance workers, bus drivers, and more. It was formerly known as Local 32B-32J, and after merging with SEIU, its name changed to 32BJ SEIU. It is the union’s mission to grow into a diverse and politically independent organization of workers and change their lives for a better and improved community.
