The 48 Hour Film Project, Inc is a sleepless and wild weekend project event in which people and their film-making team begin s a 48 hours film on Friday night and celebrates it on Sunday night. The film goes from the steps of writing, shoot and edit and then screened at a local theater in front of a local audience, family, and friends. They are present internationally on 6 continents in 130 cities and have made more than 50,000 short films with the participation of over 600,000 filmmakers. The mission of the 48 Hour Film Project is to promote filmmaking as well as filmmakers around the world. It was inaugurated in 2001 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C with a global presence. This platform arranges various creative competitions for filmmakers to take part and get a global spotlight. It is a great opportunity for filmmakers throughout the world and gets explored.
