Established in 1927 in Dallas, Texas, 7-Eleven is a globally recognized brand. The brand has grown profoundly in past years with a focus on making life easier for its customers. This simple idea makes 7-Eleven a pioneer in the marketplace, and its franchisees, employees, customers, and community leaders are proud to be a part of 7-Eleven’s journey. With innovation embedded in its DNA, the brand was the first to offer a self-serve soda fountain, to-go coffee cups, operate 24/7, and even coined the phrase BrainFreeze® in honor of the world’s favorite frozen drink. Its other popular menu items include the SLURPEE® drink, the BIG BITE®, and the BIG GULP®. Employees at 7-Eleven tirelessly dream up fresh ideas to make life easier for customers globally. For almost nine decades, the brand counted on their ideas, talents, and experience to innovate and grow. In return, it offers them the room to move around and discover their greatness.

I've only worked at this franchise for 2 months. Training is inconsistent, every person you work with trains you differently. Management doesn't speak directly to you about problems with your performance, she complains to the other employees about you. Person training to be assistant manager is rude and will embarrasse you in front of customers. I asked the manager 3 times if she would fill out paperwork for me . But she still won't fill them out. It's embarrassing enough to have to ask, let alone 3 times. I understand that she is busy and is there every morning, but her lack of concern is disheartening. I want to work there and I love meeting new people and see some friends and family, but it seems as though she may fire me, for poor performance. I need this job so I don't end up homeless and my boyfriend who has heart issues also needs for me to have this job, my dog too.

Pros and Cons
Free drinks, weekly pay
Poor training and poor management, no breaks.

Unconcerned of others feelings, all about sales, lied told me to leave cus I was sick then fired me for leaving when a manager told me to leave and I specifically asked if I'd get in trouble. Then the general manager ignored my text and calls like a child and the pay is crap and expect you to work third shift alone and to be able do all and cook for the customers as well.

i started as a regular cashier but i grew into the manager position quite fast cause the owner was often busy with family and mostly personal issues that took most of his time so i earned his trust very quickly not only with my work but also with my own family issues being somewhat similar and there were multiple of his family member like son and daughter working in the same store so we all became sorta big family

Pros and Cons
family owned store, positive family values
most management duties were my responsibilities even when i was off work

Was hired as a temp and was in this position for 4 1/2 years in hopes of getting hired on permanently and it never happened but they kept evolving my temp job so I kept having a job. I went in for one thing and they kept modifying my position and kept me on, and I proved to create something that apparently is still used to this day in the records department

The pay is low. The hours are long with no breaks. There is very little recognition but plenty of “constructive feedback”. It’s hard work dealing with so many people in a rush and you don’t get much validation through pay or positive feedback.

Ive worked convenient stores for years. This company does not have your best interest or your home life as a priority. They will work you to death and pay you crap for it. I started out as an assistant manager, making the same as the associates. I stepped down and within 2 months i quit. They dont care about you or your health.
