826 Valencia is a non-profit organization in the Mission District of San Francisco, California, USA, devoted to helping children and young adults improve writing skills and to help teachers encourage their students to learn. 826 Valencia was established in 2002 by author Dave Eggers and veteran instructor Nínive Calegari.826 Valencia consists of three writing centers offering all of its services free of charge in order to make them available to students who would otherwise not be able to receive our support.826 Valencia is a deeply collaborative work environment full of committed people who aspire to develop programs that turn their student relationships into writing and to establish a welcoming atmosphere that addresses the needs and diverse backgrounds of their students.
