Abilis (ABLE-ISS) is a non-profit organization that offers services and supports to over 800 people with special needs and their families from birth to death. It has a long history of serving the particular needs community in southern Fairfield County and has a reputation for providing high-quality care. Through their Therapeutic Services programs, it provides early intervention and personalized treatments, as well as family education and advocacy, to assist individuals in meeting critical developmental milestones. They provide a variety of Life Services programs as people approach and reach adulthood, including recreational activities, transition and life skills assistance, job training, competitive and assisted employment and a variety of residential choices. It collaborates with individuals, families, schools, and community groups to build personalized programs that help people acquire skills, optimize inclusion, and participate in their communities.
