Nicole Crafts owns A.C. Moore, an American arts and crafts retailer. With corporate headquarters in Berlin, New Jersey, it has 145 retail stores in the eastern part of the United States. In 1985, Jack Parker and William Kaplan opened A.C. Moore as a single arts and crafts shop in Moorestown, New Jersey. Parker, the president, was a Woolworth's merchandising veteran, and Kaplan, the CEO, had a background in apparel manufacturing. In October 1997, the company went public. The company's revenues peaked in 2006 at $598 million, but they started to decline in the years after that. Scrapbooking, beading, knitting, rubber stamping, home decor pieces, floral items, children's crafts, paints, framing, greenery, and seasonal items were among the arts and crafts goods offered by A.C. Moore. They have a reputation for offering discounts and undercutting rivals' rates.
