About Academic Advisor

What does an Academic Advisor do?

As Academic Advisors, we are responsible for guiding students regarding their course requirements and programs. We build a strong rapport with particular assigned students. Working as Academic Advisor, we help students in the selection of their majors. We are also responsible for ensuring that they are progressing towards their goals. Tracking and reporting their data is also part of our job. We maintain a record of their performance and intervene if some lag occurs. We apply academic policies to analyze and resolve student problems with their course design and its scheduling. Finally, we support students throughout their academic program until completion.

  • identifying student abilities and deficiencies
  • aiding in career selection of students
  • tracking student performance throughout their course
