About Academic Assistant

What does an Academic Assistant do?

As academic assistants, we are responsible for assisting teachers as well as students in classrooms. We work to support teachers in labs and extracurricular activities. It is our duty to provide information to students and resolve their queries and have to provide instructional and technical support to the faculty of academics. Being academic assistants, we are in charge of arranging and organizing student conferences and discussion sessions. Also, we oversee and manage unpaid and informal reviews and appraise student’s work. We work under the supervision of a faculty member or in charge of class or labs.

Core tasks:

  • supporting and helping academic counselors in their routine tasks
  • assisting dean in developing academic programs and curriculum
  • interacting with students and resolving their problems
