About Academic Coach

What does an Academic Coach do?

Working as Academic Coaches, we collaborate with high school or college students. We help them develop and achieve academic and career goals. By helping students cultivate good study habits, we prepare them for college admissions. financial responsibilities, and exams, and evaluating student progress. We build rapport with students. Helping students identify strengths and weaknesses is a part of our job. We assist students with setting their academic and career goals. It is our duty to developing student habits and other skills to ensure their success. We analyze data and track student progress towards goals. We connect students with other resources, as needed.

Core tasks:

  • assist in providing academic enrichment sessions
  • provide academic support via after school and in-class tutorial sessions
  • discuss student progress and educational opportunities with parents
  • attend all schedule training sessions, meetings, and programs
  • maintain a regular schedule at the school
  • motivate students to consider post-secondary educational opportunities
  • assist in providing academic and career advisement
