Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with ACAPT leadership and external partners to coordinate brand development then coordinate the implementation/use of the brand among the various leadership groups
Design and manage marketing strategies and tactics to promote ACAPT's programs, products, services, and events, to strengthen ACAPT's brand and to increase its profile
Develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of marketing plans and campaigns to engage members and other audiences
Use member insights and data to develop and recommend data-driven decisions to the board of directors
Create calendars, custom reports and dashboards
Plan and manage projects that use visuals, video, and/or multimedia storytelling to support ACAPT's
Incorporate new communications tools and creative dissemination strategies to strengthen ACAPT's programming
Increase subscribers and viewers of electronic content
Assure all marketing and communications efforts align with ACAPT's Strategic Plan
Assist with other external and internal communications duties as needed

TARGETED AREAS OF ACTIVITY
Electronic Media

Website:

management, improvement, support, maintenance, analytics, content development, presentation of ACAPT's story
Provides day-to-day website maintenance and configuration of the website, as well as acts as the first line of defense for website support.
Manages website documentation, including but not limited to technical interface diagrams, production support reference guides, release updates and new user onboarding
Manage website, including overseeing the production of new content and shepherding its ongoing development
Write and design content for website
Procure advertising from like-minded markets/organizations and manage posted web ads
Potential projects could include producing short web videos or infographics on timely issues

Social Media and Newsletter:

Maintain social media accounts, including content creation and curation
Develop and implement use of listservs
Schedule email marketing and lead nurturing campaigns, ensuring all activities are trackable and measurable
Write and procure content from ACAPT leadership and partners, deliver, track, and report
Identifying opportunities for the placement of ACAPT marketing ads
Notifications to members that include deadlines such as for dues, motions, or calls for volunteers, survey response, etc.

Publications:

Content procurement, use of infographics to tell ACAPT's story, including creation of an Annual Report, and works collaboratively with ACAPT leadership on opportunities for ads or content in publications such as JOPTE, Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation, PTJ,
Writes and edits marketing copy for in-house and external communications collateral
Identifying opportunities for the placement of ACAPT print materials ads
Securing copyright permissions for ACAPT-owned publications
Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns

Partnerships:

Support the marketing of the Education Leadership Partnership (ELP) work and strategic initiatives
Identify prospective organizations of like-minded interest and collaborate on opportunities of mutual benefit

In-person

Board and consortia meetings:

attend with the intent of gathering information that would be helpful in informing members and prospective members of the activities and progress of ACAPT

Events:

Booth:

Coordinate the content and production of marketing collateral for ACAPT meetings including CSM (Combined Sections Meeting), ELC (Educational Leadership Conference), NEXT Conference & Exposition, The Celebration of Diversity, and NSC (National Student Conclave)
Staff the ACAPT booth and solicits for volunteers among the leadership

Exhibitors, Sponsors, Advertisers:

Produce the exhibitor/sponsor prospectus for ELC (Educational Leadership Conference)in collaboration with external partner(s); Secures exhibitors and sponsors for the conference and assures the delivery of all benefits including the coordination of sponsor products onsite
Serves as a single point of contact for vendor communications

Resources:

Gather and organize resources relevant to all stakeholders and interests of ACAPT and make available through a web-repository to ACAPT members
Develop policies for internal or external stakeholder use that support ACAPT's communications goals

Data:

Conduct assessments to determine information gaps and opportunities for awareness campaigns and to help shape future marketing strategies
Measure and report on the effectiveness of all communications activities
