Job Description

The Ecology Center is looking for a part time Accounting Assistant. This is a part-time variable hour position, anticipating 10-20 hours per week.

Assist Business Manager in overseeing Ecology Center financial activities including purchasing, p-card management, account reconciliation, and other budget-related matters. Process journal vouchers, budget transfers, reallocations and redistribute indirect costs. Assist with travel, purchasing, and p-card management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience or formal education in accounting

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work efficiently without immediate supervision

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Good knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with USU travel, purchasing, and p-card policies

  • Experience with Banner and USU forms
