Divorced, needed to get out of the house and the paycheck came in handy also. Physically, a moderately demanding job as we sold A LOT of pinestraw. Also filled and swapped out LP tanks. You will learn about plumbing, electrical components mainly for residential use. Making of keys is almost daily. Glass cutting also. In short, much to learn and with a good store the learning is fun. Need to also mention thousands (no exageration) of fasteners - screws, bolts, nails. Some metric. Others standard.

Pros and Cons
The owner worked with us every day; only need one chief.
Physically demanding.

This is a great company to work for if you only support yourself , not if you have family to support since the pay isn't that great. The benefits are pretty good compared to other companies, and the 401K contribution is very generous. If hard to maintain a good productivity when there's no calls coming in, just responding to emails.

Pros and Cons
Free 30 minutes lunch, and combined with your 30 minutes non paid is a whole hour..
Pay can be better, poor scheduling system..

The work culture here is as toxic at it comes, if you don’t join a clique and buddy up with the managers prepare to get treated like a dog here. Expect nepotism and to never get promoted so don’t get too good at your job if you ever want to move up.

I so loved this job the greatest fun place to work at. Everyone and I mean every colleague were so helpful team players making sure everyone go through and helped like "Never leave anyone behind". I would give anything to go back and work for these people. Nothing to say bad about this company, when I worked there. That was 5 years ago don't know how much it's changed, but hope they didn't.

Pros and Cons
fun, helpful, and made you feel like family

The work is interesting. The programs were fairly intuitive but complex. The training was too short. I liked the pace and the challenge of the programs and multi tasking. The coworkers were nice. I left for a brief family emergency during COVID early days and was going to return to work there but wasn’t rehired in spite of the fact I had tested well and could keep up with the work. They stress that it’s a “family” atmosphere but they did not act as if they cared at all.

Pros and Cons
Coworkers, pay is reasonable relative to other call centers.
They are not understanding about anything that disrupts your work schedule.

They say you will work everywhere in the store but just be prepared to sit at the front of the store for the first 9 months working there, and be the only one expected to help anyone. Management is the worst the main manager there tried to get me and my co workers fired because we worked harder than her and were getting more praise from the owners. The main manager and another one also lied and made another manager the best of them quit from all the stress they caused. During the covid pandemic they rarely cleaned and they did not pay more for people working even though myself and 2 others were there 40 hours a week but still part time and making minimum wage. They also have horrible communication if you have an emergency or cannot get to work and or need to switch shifts with someone you cannot text or call anyone you have to call the store where the phones are prone to not working. Unless you are close family friends with the owners then your never gonna do anything right.

Pros and Cons
The discount is the only good part
Stress, No Respect for your hard work, Barely any training, Poor Management.
