ACHIEVE was founded in 1952 in Broome County by 10 families looking for social and educational opportunities for their kids. Since that time, in three counties, Broome, Chenango, and Tioga, ACHIEVE has expanded to serve over 2,200 individuals with disabilities. ACHIEVE's mission, as a chapter of The Arc of New York, is to advocate for an improved quality of life through the enhancement of skills, inclusion, integration, socialization, and independence of people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities through services provided in the counties of Broome, Chenango, and Tioga. ACHIEVE includes several direct assistance and technical roles.
