About ACT Tutor

What does an ACT Tutor do?

As ACT Tutors, our responsibilities include helping students prepare for the ACT exam. In this career, we teach students how to prep for the test, facilitate practice tests, and teach strategies for test taking. We are further responsible for offering advice and practice for math, science, and English, as well as any other subjects with which a student needs assistance. Not only that, we need to provide exceptional classroom and one on one tutoring to students.

Core tasks:

  • tracking and analyzing students' progress and prepare for Lessons and Tests to meet students' needs
  • attending regular team meetings and working closely with Program Director to meet students' academic goals
  • maintaining and updates confidential files and records, ensuring that ethical and legal guidelines are maintained
  • researching and selecting learning materials, textbooks, software, and equipment to facilitate tutoring; may design specific handout, study, and related materials
