Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Herndon, Virginia
Department: Logistics / Supply Chain Management
Status: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30AM-5PM

Large Distribution Company in Herndon, VA is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide day to day support to the Logistics Manager. Our client offers competitive salary as well as medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, growth opportunity, casual attire and much more!

Administrative Assistant Position Summary:

  • Manage Logistics Manager's calendar
  • Arrange meetings and schedule conference rooms
  • Track shipments and alert management to any shipping issues and or delays
  • Create shipping labels 
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets and shipping logs
  • Maintain and organize files
  • Perform data entry and order entry into ERP system

Administrative Assistant Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum two years relevant clerical / administrative experience and/or logistics experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to follow directions with emphasis on accuracy and quality control
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers, vendors, drivers, and all internal departments
  • Team player that is tech savvy and able to quickly learn new programs
