The company and managers are driven by numbers alone. They couldn't care less about the technicians. You are nothing more than a tool to be used and discarded when they are finished with you. I DO NOT recommend working for or with ADT SECURITY.

Typically worked 10 hour days 7 days per week. Many cold phone calls to residents, and creating value as a corporate sales representative above and beyond what contracted sales companies were offering at a lower cost without devaluing either company.

I loved working here honestly. Everyone is really nice and you have plenty of support. Unfortunately I was hired in from the outside as a contractor, so I had to follow the schedule and rules but had none of the benefits. They said we could possibly be hired on as actual employees, but it's highly unlikely from what I've seen and heard.

BEWARE THE METRICS! ADT is very serious about achieving 28% sales to call metric and 47% Positive Action for your calls. NOT every call you take is a sales opportunity and you will be punished by diminished commission and ultimately termination for failure to achieve the metrics. It is very big deal to ADT. After 4 years I was fired for failure to achieve the metrics. It is a great paying job if you keep up with the metrics. Go in with eyes open

Started as an Emergency Dispatcher and worked up to Unit Mngr of Training Design/Development. The culture WAS once exemplary but devolved in to a "meat in the seat" philosphy. Quite sad. It ran off great talent

They give you all the tools you need to succeed, management is great, never missed a club excellence or presidents excellence trip in the entire 9 years I worked there.

Hated the place. The senior management team does not care for looking out for their employees. There are racial overtones that limit non-whites to junior management positions. This management senior staff got rid of a very successful black spokesman for two white spokesmen. I do think that this is a good workplace for minorities.

Started as a receptionist, promoted to mail room administrator, then promoted to billing administrator.

I will never again work for this company even if they offered me the highest position .. I left after 6 months . Management was horrible they do not care about family emergency they will still give you points . Even FUNERAL you have to bring in so much documention just to prove you have loss your love one which is ridiculously sad. Management listen in on your calls without you know . Continuous writing you all day having you unfocused on the call.. system always going down . Just horrible over all

This has to be the worst company to work for if you want to learn something the guy training me refuse to teach me anything and when I'd ask he always say you're never going to run and do that...... Guess what I ran into that almost everyday and he still wouldn't help me supervisor would never answer the phone I mean the list goes on and on I drove over 21,000 mi for this company and they just blow me off worst company I've ever worked for in my life no sympathy when they let me go either I have three kids and a wife and I was about to lose my house they didn't give it any kinds of emotional crap maybe y'all should start where instead of letting people go immediately say hey you have a week's phone a new job instead of just screwing them completely I hate this company I hate everything about it

I worked for ADT in NYC and things were done by the book because of union in florida it's another story.

I started work at ADT awhile back as a recruiter, What they hired me with was not the outcome of the job, I felt lied to. The work environment was ok accept for the fact that a lot of the males would constantly try to talk to you and distract you from your work and it didn't matter if you told them you were with someone or not and management didn't care either. People would make comments about personal life choices as well and things got awkward sometimes because a lot of feelings got hurt. I 100 percent would not recommend working for this company.

Management does not care about the employees, it's all about the numbers. You must meet their sales quotas no matter what your job is or you'll be job hunting like me.

Current Management is the problem with this company well particular location I experienced. Started aas technician and management was terrible move in to sales and management was worst. Work and home life balance is not a concern to any member of management. From experience and talking to other employees they repeatedly talk down to employees on more than one occasion. Overall terrible experience form the excitement I initially had to work for a major company like ADT. Its was ruined with the everyday issues management had amongst there non producing numbers with sales.
