Since CVS took over Aetna this environment has become extremely toxic. People that were once nice and kind are now cutthroat and demanding. In the 10 years I have worked here I received a total of $8,000 in raises which has in no way kept up with even the amount of money they charge you for health care. Yes that's right an ins. co. that does not provide free healthcare to its employees but instead charges more than I have ever paid in my life. So you would think that healthcare insurance would be good wouldn't you, no it's horrible. And because you haven't really gotten a raise in 10 years you can't afford health care or food. Most of the people that I know that work here who do not have people in their life working another job that is substantially better than theirs all have second jobs. The pressure is mind numbing at this point and to be quite Frank they don't care at all. People who were hired after me and have 30 years less experience than me are making $20, 000 more

Pros and Cons
None at this time
Expensive awful Health insurance, extreme pressure to produce

I worked via staffing agency and on day one, I felt like part of the family. Aetna really cares about their employees, especially the nursing team, the people I worked with and management were amazing and incredibly helpful. I was to be hired on permanently, however, without warning, the office located in Tampa was closed down prior to being hired. Working at Aetna was one of the best places I worked at as a nursing utilization management.

Pros and Cons
Flexibility, strong work values, tons of overtime, bonuses, work atmosphere
