AIESEC is a global platform for the young generation to explore and develop their leadership, cross-culture internships, and global volunteer exchange experiences. AIESEC in the United States was founded in 1956. It operates as a non-profit organization and registered association based in New York, United States. It was first started by a group of students at Columbia University as the first non-European national committee and expanded across the United States with 25 local branches. Each local branch is hosted at a University for college students. The Branch is managed by its own local committee president and executive board. There are more than 400 members and student volunteers support for AIESEC association. They offer programs such as volunteer programs, startup Internships, and long-term Internships to study abroad, work, and recruit young people and students. AIESEC represents equivalent treatment regarding the origin, gender, religion, nationality, ethnic or social connection.
