About Air Export Agent

What does an Air Export Agent do?

We, in the job of an Air Export Agent, are responsible for coordinating all logistics for incoming and outgoing cargo shipments. We anticipate and plan for all of the details that ensure successful delivery. Our work requires direct dealing with customers. We ensure that all shipments are in compliance with all applicable agencies, including the US Customs and TSA. Negotiating rates with customers and carriers is also a part of our duty. In the role of an air export agent, we ensure the best service possible. We also maintain a competitive edge in pricing. As an Air Export Agent, we implement continuous improvements to increase margins and customer satisfaction.

Core tasks:

  • making booking arrangements, planning and routing shipments, preparing documentation *coordinating shipments including consolidation of shipments.
  • updating information available for shipments in progress, tracking data, and current status
  • preparing rates and quotes
  • providing rate and transit options to customers.
  • responding to customer inquiries
  • conducting shipment-level analysis
