ALPA is a union of airline pilots. With more than 59,000 pilots making up the organization, It is the largest of its kind in the world. It was founded in 1931. It represents more than 30 airlines located in the United States and Canada. Its current headquarters is situated in Washington, D.C. The services it provides to its members are airline safety, security, representation, advocacy, and pilot assistance. Its mission is to promote safety throughout the aviation community.
