This means supervising day-to-day maintenance tasks on the aircraft, support equipment, and special tools. We usually manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of duties. We supervise maintenance staff which involves people management duties such as reviewing employee performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, etc. Ours is a mid-senior level role usually requiring FAA certification and several years of experience in aviation maintenance. We typically report to the Aircraft maintenance manager.
