About Aircraft Technician

What does an Aircraft Technician do?

As aircraft technicians, we provide diagnosis of plane mechanical and electrical issues. We are also responsible for, replacing malfunctioned and depreciated parts of aircrafts as and when needed. We are similarly tasked with, inspecting aircrafts based on preventive maintenance schedules to alleviate potential problems that arise from inadequate maintenance. We aircraft technicians additionally, test diagnostic systems, electrical systems and communications or specific parts of the aircraft for proper functionality. We are charged with routine maintenance of the aircraft where, we are expected to check daily the condition and conformity of aircraft parts. We have a duty to ensure safety of the aircraft by, overseeing aircraft avionics and mechanics activities.

  • replacing faulty parts
  • undertaking scheduled preventive maintenance
  • testing aircraft systems
