Albert Einstein College of Medicine is an exclusive medical school positioned in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City. Its diversified faculty and staff have set the standard for excellence in medical and graduate education and patient-centered clinical care for more than 60 years and have made vital offerings to scientific research intensifying human health in its communities and beyond. The mission of the college is to prepare a diverse body of students to become knowledgeable, sympathetic physicians and innovative scientific investigators, and to fabricate new knowledge. The College of Medicine has enrolled about 724 M.D. students, 158 Ph.D. students, 106 students in the combined M.D.-Ph.D. program, and 265 postdoctoral research companions during the 2018-2019 scholastic year at its Belfer institute for Advanced Biomedical Studies. It works to provide and maintain core shared facilities supporting scientific research and scholarly inquiry wherein nurturing the physical and emotional wellness of all students.
