I loved working for Allstate, but they are trying to cut a lot of cost out of their operations so that they can be competitive, and so that leads to big reductions in force

Outstanding leaders whose goals were to help agents grow their business. Dedicated co-workers who were always there to provide great input and suggestions.

I started with them at the very beginning of COVID little did I know that life was about to change dramatically! The training was fun and not to lengthy. The computer set up was very easy. I was very happy with my job, and the call volume was consistent. Excellent benefits! I used maternity leave, fmla, and military benefits! The only reason I left, after 1 year and a half, was my new baby boy required more attention once he was crawling.

Pros and Cons

One of the worst Insurance Carriers out there. In my opinion- Treat their Agents horribly, not very good on claims and no loyalty to their own employees. Even the stockholders are not doing well with Allstate.

Not quite what I took interest in. I like challenges and Allstate didn’t quite meet up to me staying active enough or further training. So much outbound calling and feel a lot of the Allstate agents are calling the same customers feel it’s unprofessional in ways of running the company.

I first just want to say that despite everything horrible at Allstate, you can definitely move up in this company. You have to be able to tolerate A LOT of stuff. Their values about diversity is complete bull, the managers do a LOT of micromanaging. If you’re thinking about working here, only do so to get licensed and after that MOVE ON. No job is worth being disrespected and looked down on. The pay doesn’t align with your duties EVER. The 401K and the Roth IRA is cool and the advisors they have for mental health. You’re going to need those therapists, because this company does NOT promote your well being with all the toxicity. Good LUCK !!

Pros and Cons
Lengthy breaks, lots of room for advancement
Unrealistic compensation, micromanaging, Leaders talk about slavery a lot!

I was an independent contractor through love ops working for the client Allstate. Worked from home about 8 months. Enjoyable job. Hours i could pick through an agency. The kind of work I did should have demanded a better pay grade. Very detailed job with state specifics with many things changing weekly if not daily.

Pros and Cons
Kept you on your toes. Loved the research and helping claimants
Not enough pay. Some weeks not the right hours

My job was to file claims through the client's insurance policy. They would call and complain about something that has been damaged or stolen and they would want to file a claim through their insurance policy. I would ask them questions and file their claim and at the end, I would give them a confirmation number for the adjustor.

Pros and Cons
a sit down job
