Alorica Company Reviews and Ratings

I had worked before at Alorica 3 other times. But this time the client was Cigna & they dictated the way managers were to direct agents & callers. Cigna does not want agents to express any sympathy or acknowledge any of callers feelings. They want everything cut & dry. I was fired for calming a frantic elderly caller by providing personal feelings about how I could understand why she was upset. Took call at 9:00 am & was walked out the door without a job by 11:30. Culture is not good anymore & you can feel the tension as you walk in the door. Hours were cut to begin with from 8 to 4 to 2 for some of us. Alorica was not getting calls volume Cigna wanted so they demand cuts - hours & employees. They are always hiring because people are leaving or asked to leave constantly.
Pros and Cons
Free coffee.
Company culture toxic

I worked as a call center representative in Alorica. Most of my work time is in the office spent communicating with the customers. That's what I like To do. I have to be cheerful, attentive, charming and able to listen to my customers I also have a great opportunity to meet and communicate with other people from different countries, thereby increasing the level of self development, I can say that BPO industry is one. Of the most profitable and promising. Firstly, I have the opportunity to talk to people in many countries, constantly discover new horizons and shar my knowledge with others, and secondly I earn good money especially there is night differential and allowances. I am nice charming and creative person.i know how to create a holiday even on gloomy days. That's it!
Pros and Cons
Friendly environment, proactive people, excellent salary
Good food quality, financially stable.

I worked with Alorica for 5 months. In that time, my training group which originally consisted of 19 was down to 5 people. I felt like my days were numbered. Their policies are strict and they do not budge on them. I've been told they're your typical call center, but if this is your first call center job, it may be alarming to you, as it was for me. I'd never felt more like a number.
Their attendance is measured by a deviation and NHNF system which is convoluted and wonky which is what lead to me and some of my former coworkers getting fired (I'd never been let go from a job before). The portal may tell you that you have X amount of NHNF days or X amount of deviation points, but on THEIR end, you may have less or more, so you NEED to contact your team leader before clocking or calling out. We weren't allowed to go to the bathroom outside our breaks, and if we did, we had to take away from our break time.
Pros and Cons
Remote, quiet, private, no travel expenses, you're near your kitchen for lunch.
Felt like a number, way too easy to get fired, rules and policies too controlling and inflexible

Little to no recognition, limited health insurance, no raises. In their help wanted ads, they list paid holidays - but there are none. Instead, you get holidays off but they schedule you for mandatory 'make up days'. There was also a lot of forced overtime.
Pros and Cons
No real dress code.
Low pay, no raises, limited health insurance. Some benefits got taken away without notice.

I worked here for WAY longer than I should have. I passed up a position with another company because I was assured that I was going to be promoted to a senior recruiter. After a couple weeks of "training" (essentially just doing more work without any compensation), they gave it to somebody else who ended up quitting a month later. Then they gave it to a very unqualified woman who was terrible at her job to begin with. I have come to the conclusion that this company is very inclusive unless you're white, straight or male. They don't promote based on merit, it's based on skin color. If you're a woman or a minority, you're going to make it far. Best of luck to you if you don't fit that demographic.
Pros and Cons
It's a job. They fed us lunch sometimes.
They don't value hard work or performance. It's also pulling teeth to take any time off.

You don't want to work here unless you want to be undervalued and just another face in the crowd. You will never be recognized for your good work and if you spot something wrong or dangerous and try to report it up the chain of command expect it to be ignored.
Pros and Cons
Same as other call centers
Everything.

The job was for American Express. I had sufficient training and if needed further training. The opportunity to move to better positions if a campaign ends was encouraging. Its a job and not one you go to for great upward movement. But the opportunity is there you just need to say something to the right people. They really want people who will stay and do a good job. Work hours (on-site) were 8-5. but flexible 1/2 hour earlier to 1/2 hour later. The center is open 24/7 so you could get more hours if you needed. No problem with taking off to go to doctor etc. Some managers are more flexible than others but thats on any job. Because of the campaign I was paid at a higher rate. What I didn't like was wanting degreed employees to work at half of the rate one would expect.
Pros and Cons
better pay than most call centers. flexible hours, possible longevity with the company.
If campaign ends the next may pay is less than. corporate was almost impossible to get in touch with

The only way to get a raise is to get a promotion. They seem to distrust their employees and are always encouraging us to spy on each other. You can not have any personal items at your desk, not even have your purse . During slow times you are expected to just stare at your computer screen. They will not bid for Holidays or better working hours. Give no reword for loyalty, which is reflected in the turnover rate. I would guess about 90% stay no more that 2 years.
Pros and Cons
I have none
PTO very hard to get. Never a raise. No holidays off. No chance for better working hours.

I began working at Alorica in October 2021. It was a customer service job. Alorica was contracted with AT&T. The person in charge of training spent most of the time making jokes. We trained for a few weeks and it was lack luster training. Also the schedule was always changing. The management did play favoritism. The customer would be delighted that I was able to solve their problem but management always complained about something.
Pros and Cons
It was a remote job.
The management was not supportive or professional

Disappointing, haphazard management and trainers (except for one). Management and training team were obviously “bonus driven” because they would berate new hires if they used the automated training courses in a manner that “they felt” would impede course completion ahead of expectations. I was specifically spoken to unprofessionally in an open classroom full of classmates by one trainer that stated “I’ve been doing this for 3 years.. and I can tell you that you are setting yourself up for failure by using the study materials the way you are”. This trainer didn’t know me, nor had she ever had a conversation with me before that day. End result .. Not did I succeed .. but I was one of the highest scorers on the Alabama State Licensing exam in our group .. and completed the training requirements 2 weeks ahead if expectations.
Pros and Cons
Work from home 100% after completing required training. Pay rate slightly higher than min. wage.
Horrible management and trainers due to roll over of exiting employees.

Alorica offers benefits, but compared to the low pay and hard work, there is very little compensation. Management would refuse escalation calls, and worsen situations due to their lack of support. Imagine a customer requesting a transfer, and no one will take it. Meanwhile the customer is screaming and cursing, and there is no way to deescalate the call.
Pros and Cons
Trains well in customer service
Poor managerial support and low pay

Alorica gave me a chance to prove my skills, when no one else would. Most companies I applied to did not see the relevance in my experience being a stay at home mom for approximately 10 years or employment skills from prior to then. After working with a very diverse group of people and acquiring current skills and experience with Alorica, I am more confident in my own abilities. Also, they work with me regarding accommodations I need for health issues. They have an open door and no retaliation policy. I have enjoyed working for them and value the experience I have accomplished.
Pros and Cons
Celebrations. Open door policy, Diversity, Remote positions

When I was previously employed there, I commuted from Winston-Salem to Greensboro via taxi cab to the Part Bus (public transportation from different cities within 15-20 miles of certain cities). Well, often the bus was late and I could not get to work on to start my shift on time. My supervisor spoke with me about my tardiness. When I explain to her my situation, she suggested we both go speak with my Operations Manager about a solution. My OR ammened my time so I could be able to clock in and do my job more effectively and efficiently. I loved working there but the commute began to affect my health and commuting was beginning to weigh heavy on me financially. If I had the ability to drive. I would probably still be there. Overall, I looked forward to going to work, minus the commute..
Pros and Cons

The pay is fair. The training is inadequate. The supervisors were rude and unhelpful. The work is interesting but you’re not encouraged to ask questions or escalate any issues. You are critiqued in front of everyone. They fired some people for not knowing things they were never told in training. It’s a very poorly managed call center.
Pros and Cons
Money. Learning new programs. Coworkers.

This was great to learn for the 1st time ab9ut customer service in answering phones. They were sruck at 9 per hour with no chance of any raise. A dead end job. 401K was not roth so you did have to mess with taxes on that.
If you got close with the supervisor, you might become a lead agengt, but the company was run dirty.
I trained in multiple things using my brothers account in SiriusXM. They audited and found I was in my brother's account and terminated me.
That was the best thing for me in my career as now im happily employed and i have many chances to grow in it without taking up a supervisors position.
Alorica essentially trained me to be one of the better agents at my current job.

I enjoyed my position with Alorica, It was my first Work from home position. The training was suppose to be 8 weeks and the first 3 weeks were spent in tech support to ensure everyone in the training class were connected to their hardware. We were taking calls after the 5th week with very little training. It was a scary process but I endured. I learned a lo of it on my own because I refused to quit and I had to prove to myself that I could do it and I did. After a yrs I was fired for the third write up and I understand that it is a liability for the company if mistakes are made. I did not know about why I was written up the 3rd time when I was not aware of the rule they stuck on me. I would work there again and hope to receive the proper training. I made it one yrs and you can too.

I started out working the early morning shift where we only got inbound calls with a very small team. It was actually pretty good the first year then I got asked if I wanted to be part of another team in sales. I took the new position and it was going pretty good at first then gradually just became more stressful they wanted more and more out of the calls and helped you out less. The company didn’t want to give the customers any kind of money to fix the mistakes instead you were always trying to upsell something else. Had to constantly be nice to customers who were ripping your head off for something you didn’t do. A few times I had managers make sexual comments toward me even being asked to hangout for drinks it became really uncomfortable. They also don’t work with you when it comes to school or if you have another job you have to make them NUMBER 1.
