Alpha Tau Omega or ATO is an American social and leadership development Fraternity company. It was founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1865. The founders are Otis Allen Glazebrook, Erskine Mayo Ross, and Alfred Marshall. It is a non-profited organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is a member of the North American Interfraternity Conference. The ATO's central goal is to tie men together in a fraternity dependent on unceasing and unchanging standards, with security as solid as the correct itself and as enduring as humankind. The Fraternity consists of more than 141 chapters and 10 colonies in the United States with 229,000 members and 8,500 undergraduates. It offers annual scholarships for its members.
