Working with Amazon in a FC is something to do if you have no other options in life. It will drain you and you will have no work life balance.
Pros and Cons
Free soda, only pro
No recognition , no work life balance if you want to move up.

I have active bladder and I remember I used to get time for going to the restroom, and if I would go to the restroom more than twice before lunch, I would get questioned about it. Which made me feel as if I was going to get in trouble for using the restroom.
Pros and Cons
The second break is paid for
Very strict

Really loved it! It was like a family oriented place where you work together as a team and always looking out of the safety of everyone. Very unique. Team player. Really friendly. I would do anything to be back with the company again.
Pros and Cons
Friendly HR. Very helpful. Always looking out to holidays/ events ahead of time with decorations.
Good food/ vending machine goodies/enough parking for everyone

I was fired after working for 6 years with Amazon. I had to appeal the decision to get unemployment 2 times. I won my appeal because of false statements made by them. I do not blame Amazon, their behavior is acceptable In business.
Pros and Cons
They will pay for community college 100% if you can stay long enough
Production rate is a complex system mixing lies with truth

Horrific working condition. Daily mental abuse. I was physically assulted by a ops manager then fired shortly after reporting. Several managers harrased me throughout my years of work at amazon. I lost so much life working for them.
Pros and Cons
Absolutely none
To much to list

The position is definately underpaid for the requirements of the position and the responsibility. Same pay level in another department such as human Resources or Safety are paid on general $40,000 for a year and are salary.
We have been told a raise is coming for over two years. Still nothing. However managers above us have received several significant pay raises.
Pros and Cons
Great Benefits
poor work/life balance

Working at Amazon was crazy. I have been working for years. The managers were very racist and only would put non-English speaking Spanish people who just come or have been there working at the company in a higher position. Meanwhile, I am hard working, I proved myself, been there for years, and still, they only managed to place me as Ambassador. They changed all shifts to overnight with only two weeks' notice.
Pros and Cons
They would buy food from time for everyone.
They would ask people to VTO, so less people, plus difficulty tasks= harder labor/ slave

You learn a lot about logistics and really see the inside view of how this conglomerate operates. They always have incentives for working extra hours and voluntary days off when its slow
Pros and Cons
Break rooms have tons of options, meet lots of new people, the hours are great, supportive staff
No time off during the holidays I guess?

Overall, I've heard that Amazon, more specifically AWS, has a "toxic" work environment. From my experience, I had an amazing team and enjoyed every second of work I did there. I will admit that some teams could fit into this toxic environment so it really depends on the team you get placed in which could be really coin flippy.
Pros and Cons
Bananas and coffee
Benefits are too good

Full Time Fulfillment Center Associate
Springfield, VA - October 31, 2022
I had worked at Amazon 2 times recently in the past 6 years. And both times I had gotten let go for reasons that were bogus and that the management just wanted to get rid of me, because I was a very good worker there at one of their fulfillment center locations.
The management for the full-time shift that I was on didn't listen to my complaints and suggestions for improving the company location at all. And that was what led me to get let go from the company. Even though Amazon let me go from there, it was by their own negligence that they did.
However, they did raise my salary by almost 50 cents, which isn't much at all really (even with the cost of living and inflation going up). And the health benefits were OK, but not the best.
The working conditions at the fulfillment center that I was at, were definitely UNSAFE. And I definitely felt unsafe working there toward the last few days of my stay with the company.
Pros and Cons
Salary and benefits
Unsafe working conditions, work there is hard and tiring

The pay and benefits are great! The cost is the lack of work life balance. I was there over 18 months, took 2 vacation days and worked on both of them.
Pros and Cons
Pay and benefits are awesome. Product is great to work with.
No life outside of work.

This is a great job ,with a lot of potential if you want to move up the ladder and progress your career. You can go as far as you want if you're motivated. But a very dead end and doing the same thing every day and boring job with a lot of associates that aren't very motivated. If you want to take this job for the most part, it,s a lot of physical work, good benefits but very dead end unless you want to move up..Good luck. I just quit after 6 years ,good ridance to all the people I left behind that don,t want to work///
Pros and Cons
benefits,decent pay
associates that don't want to do their job

Warehouse Associate Day Shift

When I first applied for a job with Amazon, I had no idea that I would actually get the job. The application and interview process was spectacular in that it was stress free and well organized. The Hiring Associates were Professional and very Courteous. I received my decision within a few days and began working the next few days. This job is youthful and elderly inclined; oh and even has positions for people with certain disabilities. There are opportunities to grow and even start your own business as an Amazonian. I would recommend this job to all interested.
Respectfully,

As an intern I got to learn and work on the latest AWS tech and marvel at the huge Amazon code base. My team was super supportive and I had a great experience. I had to put in a lot of extra hours though and some days were quite stressful but overall great learning experience.
Pros and Cons
Team lunch, team outings, compensation, relocation benefits
Lots of work

Amazon treats anyone who isn't a PA or IT as disposable parts. They set target numbers for Pick-to-Stow that are often times unrealistic, with PA and Managers breathing down the necks of people reminding them they aren't hitting 'targets' with unhelpful advice.
New hires can at times begin with higher salaries than 2 year associates.
If you like mindless work and lots of walking I guess Amazon is the place to work.
Pros and Cons
plenty of exercise
low pay, treated like an interchangable part
