Amazon treats anyone who isn't a PA or IT as disposable parts. They set target numbers for Pick-to-Stow that are often times unrealistic, with PA and Managers breathing down the necks of people reminding them they aren't hitting 'targets' with unhelpful advice.
New hires can at times begin with higher salaries than 2 year associates.
If you like mindless work and lots of walking I guess Amazon is the place to work.
Pros and Cons
plenty of exercise
low pay, treated like an interchangable part

Pay not enough for responsibility.
Labor doesn't match the pay. Promotion from within is not essentially the process. They promote faster from outside.
Pros and Cons
Insurance
Pay rate, promotion

I was working 2 jobs at the time. Both happened to be McDonald’s but different owners. One of them didn’t really enjoy my efforts to help the store or company and didn’t get much support either. Figured it was time to look for a company that would enjoy my efforts. Found this position thanks to a friend and helped me out getting in. Loved it here as my side job unfortunately, I was terminated. Something that in orientation forgot to mention led to me being terminated.
Pros and Cons
Fun side activities to do while working. Raffles and a amazing lunchroom. Very flexible job.
Strict on workers. Have to be fast or your cut. Not many warnings before termination.

Amazon Mturk worker
August 25, 2022
I started freelancing and job searching for online jobs that really pay. I came across a site that had Amazon Mturk worker as a option along with other sites that were hiring. After reading information about the position I applied for the job and was hired in quickly. It's not a get rich fast work area but can become a extra income to have on the side in your spare time. I've been a employee since 2019 and have worked my way past earning over $1000. Hard work pays off.
Pros and Cons
You work when you want to as long as you want.
No paid off days, vacation or sick leave.

Personally working at Amazon Fulfillment center was perfect for me because I wanted a job that didn’t deal directly with customers (customer service) and if I’m on task a hardly deal with managers unless they’re surveying me or giving feedback. So if you are anything like me I recommend this job the work is easy just very repetitive.
Pros and Cons
Amazon benefits and managing yourself through A to Z app
Repetitive which could be boring to some people

Only the politically "connected" with a good relationship with pretty much everyone on the next level gets promoted. If you do not get promoted, salary increases at the exempt level are usually under 1% even when consistently identified as a "high performer" like in my reviews. I was there almost 7 years. I stayed 2 years too long. If you get an opportunity there, take it, learn as much as you can and plan an exit strategy after four years. The amount you learn in that time makes it worth it.
Pros and Cons
work f rom home friendly, decent benefits
poor leadership, lots of politics, rarely accomplished tasks bc direction would change b4 u could

I’ve been working for Amazon for 3 years, I’ve learned how to pick, problem solve, and process guide. I was a learning ambassador in the 1st 6 months, and became a process assistance in 2 years. You can easily move up at Amazon.

i loved working here the fact it was a easy job made it even better . all we were doing was gettig 9 papper bags sometimes 14 bags that said amazon prime . we would put them on a cart , we had a scanner we use which gives us the items we have to put in the paper bag and wher the items are and we would place the items in which bag it is first we scan the item then place it in the bag then scan the bag
once we are done packing we close the bag with a sticker that says whose item it is we go take it to staging and place it there so someone can come get them
Pros and Cons
everyone is friendly
short lunch break

To much high physical demand as a picker. It's like working out 10 hrs for four days and the two days rest which doesn't give you the ability to do other things physical because of the soreness of the body that it gave. I wasn't a complainer. I did 400 + unit an hour as a picker and always on the top ten. Plus I didn't feel like I know who I was. I really didn't feel that I was important at all.
Pros and Cons
I was in a good shape.
Wasn't able to connect with people to become friends which was sad. I felt I was alone.

Well in my job all you’re doing is picking up customers items from a grocery store (Whole Foods) and you’re putting them in a Amazon prime bag and take it to the back for Amazon tot come pick it up. It’s super fun and easy
Pros and Cons
You get to have a flexible schedule so you get to work whenever you want
It’s hard to get a shift because lots of people are talking them

Problem Solver/ Learning Ambassador
Reno, NV - June 22, 2022
At Amazon I always stayed busy and did my work, I started off simply as a stower but quickly got cross trained and made my way up to be a problem solver and got the opportunity to work and help with projects. Since I got trained in almost all of the Inbound side of Amazon I was doing something different everyday so it made time fly by. The people are so friendly and always made everyone feel welcomed.
Pros and Cons
Friendly Environment, staying busy, benefits
Not the best pay

The pay is $16/ hr. The amount of hours you get depends on what time of year it is. I left pretty fast since I wasn’t happy with my paychecks, but some of my coworkers who staid told me they were able to get promoted pretty quick!
Pros and Cons
Free Amazon merch
Poor hours

Amazon can pay a lot of money but lacks in most other areas. The benefits are poor and expensive, there is only coffee at the office and the work life balance is terrible. Amazon uses other terms to reference wlb and the compensation strategy is iffy.
Pros and Cons
Pay is good
