America Needs You was launched in 2015. The Illinois fellow program includes 16 Saturday workshops and several additional transfer support sessions and programs. It helps develop and maintain formal partnerships with colleges, universities, and corporations to secure recruitment, internship placement, and kind support of the program. They care deeply about creating a diverse and inclusive space for fellows, volunteers, stakeholders, and actively seek to learn from perspectives. They are equal opportunity employees and encourage talented individuals of all backgrounds to apply. Their vision is to fight for economic mobility for ambitious first-generation college students. They do this by providing transformative mentorship and intensive career development. Employees' benefits are dental and vision insurance, three weeks paid vacation plus additional time off, such as floating holidays and summer Fridays, extensive professional development and training opportunities.
