The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) is one of the largest non-profit medical organizations in the world. It was founded in 1938, representing above 20,000 dermatologists in the whole world. The AAD has a mission of promoting leadership and vision of excellence in dermatology through education, technological research and advocacy. In United States AAD is most influential and representative dermatology group with more than 200 employees. Its headquarters are located in Rosemont, Illinois. The American Academy of Dermatology publishes monthly medical journal since 1979. The American Academy of Dermatology is dedicated to advance the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of skin, nails and hair. The Sulzberger institute for dermatologic education is affiliated with American Academy of Dermatology. This institute is a grant giving association that funds research technology for dermatological education. The American Academy of Dermatology plays a significant role in developing policies to enhance the overall quality of dermatological care.
