With a long history and experience in the field of alternative dispute resolution, the American Arbitration Association assists individuals and organizations seeking to resolve disputes outside of court. The AAA's duty in the dispute resolution process is to oversee the administration of cases from start to finish. Through its International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR®), the AAA provides administrative services both in the United States and internationally. Administrative services provided by the AAA and the ICDR include assisting with the appointment of mediators and arbitrators, scheduling hearings, and providing users with information on dispute resolution options, including mediation. The AAA's ultimate goal is to move issues through arbitration or mediation in a fair and impartial way until they are resolved.
