Consulting with card members about their travel needs for business and/or family vacations American Express designed their own reservation and research systems as well as a tool to correspond with clients.
American Express is a “numbers” performance company with the highest customer service standards. They view the client is always right even when they review recorded telephone conversations between clients and agents.

No better work environment to work. Love working virtual for them. Took care of us even into furlough from Covid. Unfortunately had to be terminated due to what the virus did to the entire industry but for what they did to care for us was above and beyond. The most capable employees and managers. If I am lucky, I will get hired back when this is over. It is ugly out in the job market but this company is beautiful.

American Express was an excellent company to work for, excellent benefits, good work life balance, depending on the role you held. Upper management did have a tendency to play favorites and those that should probably have been promoted to the next level were often overlooked due to the favorites games. Overall, they treat their employees very well and are a superior company to work for.
Pros and Cons
Pay, benifits are all excellent for a company this size.

My mom started there in the late 70's. I then got my job in 1984, worked there for 13 years. It was an amazing place to start and learn work ethics and values. I worked in many departments and learned enough to make me confident in any other position going forward. Everyone was support of each other and have made many friends who I am still friends with today.

If you are a female, be prepared for sexual harassment and for nothing to be done about it. I reported multiple people to HR for sexual harassment and was never taken seriously. I was then a part of an investigation which the other person retaliated resulting in an uncomfortable work environment. The management also has no concept of work life balance.
Pros and Cons
