I worked there for 1 year, made little money and worked about 70 hrs a week. The pressure to cold call clients off of leads that have been over worked already was intense and the pressure to work 60+ hrs was high, turn over rate was extremely high.

Pros and Cons
No benefits
Boiler room atmosphere, lead’s given to agents are almost all cold leads

Sold Life Insurance for a year with them. Was told I would have a lifetime of residuals, even after leaving the company. I have not worked with them for over 3 years and still have yet to receive a residual check. Leads were not evenly distributed. I had leads that were over three to five plus years old.

Pros and Cons
Fun people for the most part.

I spent 6 months with nothing to show at the end. It definitely wasn’t for and maybe I stayed too long but they were certain I would do well. It feels schemey and scammy and like you’re taking advantage of the uninformed. Also using borderline scare tactics. If your morals weren’t in the way and you could sell a bucket of doodoo and sleep at night you could make real long term money. They put in the time to train you because managers get spiffs, but your sales pitch must match theirs. If I had the stomach for it I probably would have enjoyed it.

Pros and Cons
Flexibility
Cold calling days are pretty unproductive and you really struggle with building clients

If you're a hustler, this is an unlimited paycheck for you. Pay is based entirely on commission, so it's either feast of famine. Turn over rate is extremely high. Will spend a lot of time out in the field and on the road. Does have unlimited earning potential though.

Pros and Cons
Creative freedom
24 hour work culture. No steady paycheck. Potential toxic environment.

I worked for AIL at the Indianapolis office and also while living in Michigan. A lot of insurance or sales job require you to generate your own leads, that is not the case here. Unless things have changed it was discouraged to write policies on your friends and family. You do get to set your own schedule to an extent, but there is a lot of driving and some spots could be an hr away. When I worked here it was straight commission, which was great when you had a lot of sales one week. I enjoyed working here and loved the environment, but I wanted something with more consistent hours.

Pros and Cons
Flexible schedule, team environment, constant training and assistance from management.
