The Americans Welding Society (AWS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1919, the society is committed to advancing the science, application and technology of allied joining, welding and cutting processes. It processes includes brazing, thermal spraying and soldering. American Welding society strives to be a source of inspiration to the coming generation as they make collective efforts to build the organization, providing job opportunities at the same time. Its headquarter located in Miami, Florida and is directed by a volunteer organization of officers. The organization is made up of twenty-two (22) districts, two hundred and fifty (250) sectors and student chapters serving more than 70, 000 members around the world. AWS provides support to hundreds of thousands of experts inclusive of vendors, associations, students, volunteers, educational institutions, service teams, business leaders, welders and manufacturers. AWS offers a couple of certification programs that identifies and documents professional knowledge in specific welding-related fields.
