ANDRUS is a nonprofit organization that nurtures the social and emotional well-being in children and their families. It delivers a wide variety of essential services by providing research, training and innovative programs that promote standards of excellence in the community. It was founded in 1928. It has grown to a family-centred organization that offers programs to help children, families, and communities meet their full potential. ANDRUS' main site is located on a 110-acre campus in North Yonkers. The organization provides services day and residential treatment for children who are emotionally disturbed from Westchester and the surrounding areas. ANDRUS has other operations in Sanctuary Institute which is a center for learning and innovation and provides consultation and training services to more than 350 organizations globally. Its vision is to have a community where all families and children thrive.
