The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is a national professional organization established in 1917 to serve the needs and concerns of occupational therapy practitioners and students, as well as to enhance occupational therapy service quality. Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and occupational therapy students make up the AOTA's current membership of around 65,000.
