Job Description

Full time position in the Cedar Mill area of NW Portland/Beaverton for Cornell Manor & Evanbrook Apartments (228 units total). The ideal candidate is a seasoned veteran in the multifamily property management industry and has 10+ years' experience in the industry with a minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience. CAM designation is desired.

Yardi Voyage 7S and Tenant Technologies forms software experience is required. Candidate should be driven to succeed, a natural leader, and self-directed. Ability to build rapport with staff, residents, vendors and prospective residents. Excellent computer skills, customer service skills, as well as strong oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads by example, engages in all aspects of Leasing Activities to include prospect tours, application process, ATE and Move In process.
  • Completes Resident workflow tasks including deposits, final move out accounting, renewals, complaints/dispute resolution, Resident notices/friendlies, and work orders.
  • Builds rapport while maintaining professional boundaries with Residents, Applicants, Staff and Vendors.
  • Manages and leads the office team and maintenance team.
  • Oversees property operations to include maintaining high occupancy, low turnover, minimal rent-loss upon turnover.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, federal regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts periodical reporting and inspections.
  • Completes purchase order requests and schedules outside services,

The Resident Manager position is a fulltime position that includes fulltime benefits. The required work week is 39.5 hours, working Sun - Thurs, and the days off are Fri/Sat.

  • Identify main client groups and audiences, determine the best way to communicate publicity information to them, and develop and implement a communication plan.

  • Assign, supervise, and review the activities of public relations staff.
  • Manage communications budgets.
  • Draft speeches for company executives and arrange interviews and other forms of contact for them.
  • Respond to requests for information about employers' activities or status.
  • Direct activities of external agencies, establishments, and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain crisis communication plans.
  • Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs, working with public relations executives.
  • Produce films and other video products, regulate their distribution, and operate film library.
  • Confer with labor relations managers to develop internal communications that keep employees informed of company activities.
  • Observe and report on social, economic, and political trends that might affect employers.
  • Maintain company archives.
  • Manage in-house communication courses.
