Job Description

Job Description Applications Support Specialist provides on-site support to end-users of AEHR systems. Job responsibilities also include :
  • Facilitates on-going and on-site support/training to increase AEHR knowledge base and adoption.
  • Provides AEHR system on-site support and training to end-users via person-to-person, WebEx and/or small group training sessions.
  • Instructs users on log-in procedures, navigation and data entry procedures.
  • Performs role-based and specialty-specific instructions as needed.
  • Reports to Manager and Coordinator on outcomes of all support and training sessions.
  • Provides input for on-going development of training materials, reference guides and job aids.
  • Working as part of a team, assists with training logistics of implementation of systems, following the software development lifecycle and standard project management methods.
  • Assists in analyzing and troubleshooting escalating issues and executing solutions.
  • Interacts to assist in collecting, documenting and analyzing issues and findings of outcomes.
  • Communicates clearly and timely with clients and end users.
  • Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year training experience or related clinical computer experience in a healthcare environment, required.
  • Strong presentation, training, mentoring and interpersonal skills, required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and outpatient facility work-flow processes, preferred.

  • Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function.
  • Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment.
  • Configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, controllers, multiplexers, or related networking equipment.
  • Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing network systems.
  • Test computer software or hardware, using standard diagnostic testing equipment and procedures.
  • Install or repair network cables, including fiber optic cables.
  • Monitor industry websites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification.
  • Create or update technical documentation for network installations or changes to existing installations.
  • Train users in procedures related to network applications software or related systems.
  • Test repaired items to ensure proper operation.
  • Install and configure wireless networking equipment.
  • Maintain logs of network activity.
  • Document help desk requests and resolutions.
  • Research hardware or software products to meet technical networking or security needs.
  • Create or revise user instructions, procedures, or manuals.
  • Run monthly network reports.
