The Arapahoe Library District was founded in April 1966 in order to accommodate unrestricted library assistance to all inhabitants of Arapahoe County, excluding those living in the cities of Littleton, Englewood, and Aurora. Inhabitants of these cities are served by libraries established before 1966 that are funded and maintained by their particular city governments. All Arapahoe County residents, however, are free to use any of the libraries in the county. However, it a type of government agency that has several skilled employees working there the number of employees working there exceeds from 201 to 500. Moreover, It provides a large number of facilities to its employees such as; group medical, dental, and vision benefits to employees who work 20 hours or more per week, chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy benefit included in medical insurance, gym reimbursement benefit included in medical insurance, employer paid basic life and long-term disability insurance.
