I started working at Arbys as a 17 year old back in 2018. The only problem I had at the time was the way certain customers treated me in a negative manner. I left in 2019 before COVID hit. I came back August of 2020 and have been working there since then. In 2021, my boss left and I got a new boss that I'm not the biggest fan of. My new boss is the kind of person to only care about herself and not her employees, unlike my old boss. While it isn't the worst situation it could be, I hope I can find something else that is related to my degree.

Pros and Cons
Friendly coworkers, good pay ($12.30 an hour), flexible schedule
Bad boss, only 50% off of food no matter what, always understaffed

Management would choose favorites, would expect alot and give nothing to work with. I quickly made friends working here with coworkers. We had each other's information and one day I overslept and missed my shift. One day of a week I was supposed to be working partime hours and I was called in each and every day because other people were calling out. I was texted and messaged rude names like "your a clown for not coming in"

Pros and Cons
Discounts, usually free meals
Management is poor

I enjoyed working at Arby’s. I moved back to California that’s why I left Arby’s. I was working in Grand Junction Colorado. Great training program. Operations are very easy to learn.

Pros and Cons
Free food. They had different classes for general managers and above to learn new skills.
Nothing negative to say. Great company.

Too much lying to employees. No real management. Minimum wage at 15 hrs a week. Who can do that?? Only teenagers evidently . Most back line employees were fighting during entire shift & cursing at customers thru the window

Pros and Cons
There are no pros
Management doesn’t care about employees

I have been working at Arbys for 1.5 yrs Last week my manager quit. 4/22. I've been working the night shifts for probably 6 months. A few days here and there. I was the only mgr left. My AM brought in a shift mgr from Plant City to help me out. She could only work days. The first day she worked i was missing $148 out of the safe. When i told the AM, she didnt believe me and said that she was the only help they could find. So throughout the rest of that week, we ended up missing $600. My AM and DM came into see me and offered me the GM position. Also during this meeting, i informed them that i had scheduled PTO for the 6th, - 8th for my daughters baby shower in Ohio. My first grandchild. They told me i couldn't go because they were unaware of the PTO and they didnt have a anyone to run the store. I told them i put in my request in Feb. They owe me 105 hrs. I told them im going and i got fired

Pros and Cons
Easy job.
Dont care about their employees

The management is absolutely Terrible. The store was out of water for three days straight, where we were still forced to work. If a manager screws up, you're still gonna get yelled at, in front of everyone. I walked out, Melissa and Shane Guess asked me to come back, and then gave me the run around for months, I have it in writing where Melissa said she forgot she re hired me because she went on vacation.. do not work for this company it is not worth it.

Pros and Cons
You get a free meal at least
Honestly the worst company I have ever worked for.

I spent nearly one year at this location and that is one year that I would have rather worked somewhere else. The management was horrible and the turnover was horrible probably because the management felt bad and treated us worse. The managers got 5 clean shirts and free meals. While restaurant employees got1 shirt they had had to wash everyday and 50 percent off meals and often didn't receive any breaks unless they were open prep cook. Then management expected everyone else to do their job and their own jobs too. To make matters worse often management would approach you and ask you to drive to other locations and tell you that youd get gas reimbursement. Thats nice but when you are making minimum wage you need the gas money now not a week or 2 later.

Pros and Cons
a free meal card for going above and beyond
Bad treatment, bad pay, and no benefits

Yes it is a great job where you are family working together. But you’ll be living there I slept in the parking lot for 3 weeks straight and I worked 8:30 to 3am. Let’s just say it requires all your energy and your new life is work.

Pros and Cons
Family, great food, respect of employees
Horrible customers, mentally draining, no breaks, and no life

I don't know, they were very understanding, and accommodating with scheduling issues. We just had some "value" issues in the end

Pros and Cons
The RGMS understood that you have a life outside of work and sometimes that causes scheduling issues
They don't know what their employees are worth

I learned a ton from work here as my first job. You'll have good coworkers and a lot of bad ones, but either which way you'll learn to pull your own weight pretty quickly. I do believe if this Is your first job it will give you an unrealistic expectation for other jobs out there mainly because your location is only busy depending on what is around. My location was surrounded by hospitals and churches so the elderly dominated the age bracket. That being said morning shifts were much busier than night because of jt but that is only true for few locations. Stay ready to be understaffed and overworked. You'll get close to these coworkers because of the amount of time you'll spend with them.

Pros and Cons
Flexible hours
You'll probably get bullied for working here

I started out working on backline less then a year ago. I finished as assistant manager. My reason for leaving is the gm was to busy talking about everyone. And the upper management wouldn't do anything about it. I'm sad I had to leave most of the crew were great ppl hard workers. But the pay and no support from upper management was to much to live with

Pros and Cons
There really ain't any
No support from upper management

As a self starter, I went from assistant manager to restaurant manager in a very short period of time. The work environment was fun and organized. District and Regional managers were very active and pro-active in addressing issues and available for concerns and/or coaching. Great Benefits. Pretty good hours. By far, the best fast food company I worked for, and one of the best companies of any industry that I worked with.

Pros and Cons
Great benefits, room for growth
Hours could be better
