CTGs premier client has a contract assignment for an Architect. The work will be performed onsite

Job Title: Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Architect.
Position Overview:
Serve as a senior architect on a team of architects responsible for working though VA’s transition to Cerner Millenium. Provide data architecture, development, and solution support. Develop and publish models, diagrams and other architectural artifacts using the VA approved modeling tools. Develop COAs, AoAs and solutions under tight timelines in collaboration with various stakeholders. Provide support to the program based on situational need. Provide mentoring and oversight to Development and PMO contracts to ensure they follow the EHRM CTO’s vision.
Basic qualifications:
15+ years of professional work experience.
Ability to create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained
Able to coordinate and collaborate with development, engineering, business and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed
Experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks
Cost conscience addressing goals
Ability to conduct modeling in Cameo, Rational Software Architect and MS Visio
Ability to function as a technical lead for a multi-disciplinary Scrum team
Ability to work with little direction to specific defined deliverables
Knowledge of high-level architecture and design support for complex system implementations

Understanding of DoDAF and UML
Experience in the VA
Experience with Cameo or other modeling tools
Experience implementing Electronic Health Records

I have extensive experience with software like AutoCAD and Revit, which I have used to create detailed architectural plans and 3D models.
We, as Architects, design structures such as houses, apartment complexes, shopping malls, and office buildings. In addition to that, we also make sure that the structures we build are functional, safe, cheap, and suit all the people's needs. All of us have a strong capability of producing a solid set of documents and have excellent designs and problem-solving skills. Moreover, we can multi-task and work on many projects or tasks simultaneously with excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Our job is to find new and creative ways to design buildings and the technical skills to utilize CAD software. We are also responsible for visiting construction sites to check the projects' progress and make sure the contractors are building them according to the plans.
