S/he collects and communicates information pertinent to business progress with the regional team and next level managers.Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.Essential Job Functions:1. Plans and acts strategically to maximize Hunter's exposure and sales. Facilitates demand for Hunter products at a variety of levels to assist in achieving distribution goals.2. Manages individual budget to achieve business goals, including managing expenditures, saving money whenever possible and seeking approval for items or events outside of allocated budget.3. Executes customer training programs, trade shows, and promotional events in assigned territory.4. Develops relationships with irrigation consultants, landscape architects, municipalities and local government agencies and visits to explain Hunter products and features for specification on projects.5. Directs field service and support as required. May advise on warranty policies and procedures in line with company policy.6. Assists in collecting data for forecasts and market data reports as required.Other Job Functions:Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.Hunter Industries approach to the health and safety of each employee is based on adherence to our Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Those employees who do not comply with safe work practices may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.RequirementsEducation/Training Required:Bachelor s degree or equivalent four-year degree in business administration, marketing, or landscape architecture or 10 years equivalent education/experience.Experience Required:Minimum five years of professional business management, installation, or technical support experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):KSA #1: Knowledge of commercial channels, pricing, marketing, and distribution models within the industry. Effective specification and presentation skills, with the ability to explain the features and benefits of Hunter products. Ability to conduct training and educational programs.KSA #2: Technical knowledge of company and competitor products. Ability to perform field service, troubleshoot irrigation systems, and recommend solutions.KSA #3: Knowledge of finance and budgeting processes. Ability to prepare budgets and manage expenses within budget.KSA #4: Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and to provide a high level of customer service and support.KSA #5: Ability to travel extensively, live in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.KSA #6: Basic computer skills with ability to use Windows programs to perform word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.KSA #7: Valid driver's license and driving record sufficient to meet requirements to be insured by company. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.KSA #8: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English and the ability to interact with members across the organization.KSA #9: Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) Preferred:KSA #10: IA Level II certification with additional Level III certifications.KSA #11: Fluency in other languages commonly spoken within the region. Knowledge of regional business and cultural practices.Physical Demands:Ability to sit to use the computer and to perform paperwork activities. Ability to climb stairs to gain access to upper level work area.Intermittently walking and standing to move about and to perform work within the office, customer locations and field sites.
