Under the general supervision of the District Manager the Area Manager is responsible for managing the scheduling, staffing and execution of inventory operations in a specific geographic area to achieve profitability and service goals in support of the overall company objectives.
This position is part of a dedicated travel team servicing a specific customer.
Team travels by vehicle Monday-Thursday or Sunday-Wednesday to inventory sites with overnight stays in hotels.
The Area Manager's Primary Job Responsibilities are: Recruit, hire, train and manage a team of Inventory Associates and Supervisors
Staffing and Scheduling of Inventory Associates and Supervisors for inventory events
Manage time and attendance
Establish and maintain effective business relationships with retail customers
Inventory Associate and Supervisor development
Ensure pool of vehicles are maintained properly and operational
Ensure inventory equipment is available and operational
Support productive and effective inventory outcomes
Job Requirements College degree preferred, with an emphasis on business
MUST have a minimum of 2 years management experience, related experience or in high volume, fasted paced retail or restaurant environment
Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven ability to work with customers and colleagues at all company levels
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office’s suite of products; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Acceptable Driving Record – meets or exceeds the requirements of the Company’s driving policy
