Asbury University is a private Christian university located in Wilmore, Kentucky. The school has 50-plus majors in 17 divisions. The Asbury Theological Seminary site, which became a separate entity in 1940, is situated across the road from Asbury University. While it is a non-denominational academy, the cornerstone of the college derives from the history of Wesleyan-Holiness. The Asbury College was founded in 1890 by John Wesley Hughe. It was initially called the Kentucky Holy College, but was subsequently changed Bishop Francis Asbury. Asbury College established Asbury University on 5 March 2010. Dr. Brown will be inaugurated as the 18th President on 6 March 2020. Students originate from 44 nations and 43 nations. Since 2000, the University of Asbury has accepted graduate students in training. Nearly 90% of university students remain on site. The university has an average graduation rate of 82%.
