JOB DESCRIPTION

Ericsson Austin is looking for experienced professionals to join a growing world-class semiconductor development organization and to help drive excellence in our 5G network products. As a part of our ASIC & FPGA Hardware team, you will play an integral part in the development of robust products that enable 5G communication. You will work collaboratively with the development team and other stakeholders, drive continuous improvement in the development process, and be an engaged contributor throughout the product life cycle.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Masters degree in engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in IP/ASIC/SoC development (e.g. architecture, design and/or verification)
  • Experience with RTL (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog)
  • End-to-end understanding of the semiconductor product development life cycle (e.g. ASIC design flows, silicon bring-up, system validation, and production release requirements)
  • Conceptual understanding with modern verification concepts and methodologies (e.g. constrained-random and coverage-driven environments, assertions, SV testbench architecture, UVM framework, reusability/modularity)
  • Basic knowledge of computer architecture, CPU subsystem components and/or radio access systems
  • Breadth in knowledge of industry-standard interfaces and communication protocols (e.g. DDR, JESD204, Ethernet, 3GPP, I3C, PCIe)
  • Solid debugging and/or problem-solving skills, with direct experience debugging RTL or silicon
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills for fostering working relationships with the development team and the larger global organization
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Conceptual understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g. Kanban, scrum)
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Experience with embedded software design/test, modeling (TLM), HW emulation and/or SW driven verification
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical contributors
