Job Description

Contract: Permanent

Mid Herts Music Centre require an Assistant Caretaker to provide a front of house security presence in the evenings when students and teachers arrive for their lessons and to carry out cleaning of the Centre.?

Mid Herts is a busy Music Centre with teachers and students using rooms for instrumental lessons and Music groups Monday to Friday from 3.30 into the evening. A Saturday morning music school also runs every week and the hall and other rooms are hired out by other external groups. Unlike other Music Centres Mid Herts also has a large number of office staff based on site 52 weeks per year.

The Assistant Caretaker will undertake cleaning of the premises and ensure room setups are ready for the following the day.?

You will lock up the Centre once lessons have finished, ensuring all points of entry are secure and alarmed.

You will need practical DIY skills to carry out minor repairs and painting as required. You will also have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.

    • Wrap packages or bundles by hand, or by using tying machines.
