About Assistant Professor

What does an Assistant Professor do?

As assistant professors, we teach multiple classes and provide supervision to graduate students. It is our responsibility to participate in departmental meetings and conferences to stay updated about advancement in the fields. We provide academic support to the associated faculty members and professors. Moreover, we are responsible for pacing the class lessons and ensure regular publishing of articles in academic journals. Our duties include providing assistance with departmental activities and deliver academic support to the staff. Some of us also recruit and train the TAs to ensure they can work according to departmental guidelines. Lastly, we participate in paper research and publishing.

Core tasks:

  • representing the colleges and universities at meetings and conferences
  • supervising the research investigations and experiments
  • assisting students throughout the research and in classes
