As assistant professors of history, we teach advanced graduate and undergraduate history courses and advise and mentor students. Our responsibilities include designing, giving lectures on assigned sessions, and leveraging digital content in the classrooms. We also have to assess students’ understanding during each class. Grading, collecting, and reporting homework and assignments also come under our job description. We maintain and update the course and syllabus materials and make sure they remain available. We advise students in different ways to help them meet their educational goals.
