Electroswitch is currently seeking an Associate Engineer. This position is responsible for performing routine engineering work and for occasionally handling minor engineering projects; also assists in various phases of major projects.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in the development of engineering designs of electromechanical and electronic control products for the Utility, Industrial and Military markets.Assists in the interpretation of drawings and diagrams submitted b customers and translate the requirements into a product specification.Assists in the investigation and analysis of new materials, equipment, components and engineering practices.Assists in obtaining component quotations and bids necessary for developing make vs. buy recommendations.Prepares or assists in preparing engineering costing estimates, manufacturing estimates and tooling cost summary analysis.Plans, designs and constructs engineering models or prototypes for evaluation testing or concept testing.Plans and performs necessary testing and evaluation of new products or enhancement to existing products.Assist in the preparation of product documentation necessary for new products or changes/enhancement to existing products.Performs other related duties as required to support wither new product development and/or enhancement to existing products.Travel to customer locations as required.Participate and or lead cross-functional teams.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two years of relevant experience required.
