About the Role:

The Associate Manager of Materials Management is responsible for the leading, coaching and training of a team in the operation of the plant's warehouse facility and will supervise all Materials Management functions, including SAP, inventory, and production support.

Experience & Education:

Associates degree or higher, and/or 5 to 7 years’ experience working in Materials Management. Experience with SAP or related ERP system preferred. Ability to adapt easily to change and demonstrate the ability to be flexible and cooperative. Ability to direct tasks to team members, follow-up on work and exercise good judgment. Ability to troubleshoot and suggest corrective actions. Good organizational skills with the ability to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of stock control methods, receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials. Maintain certifications for forklift and other assigned vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities.
  • Train and evaluate the performance of warehouse employees.
  • Supervise the receipts of materials from vendors and production departments. Ensure proper storage within the warehouse storage facility.
  • Support production: staging raw materials, packaging, and crude materials as requested.
  • Prepare and maintain records, logs and prepare reports as required.
  • Administer inventory of items in the warehouse as required.
  • Train staff to perform transactions in SAP to support the operation.
  • Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Establish and/or edit warehouse standards and procedures as needed.
  • Review budget-related needs; participate in the bid process for supplies as required.
  • Other duties as assigned
